Group Presentations: What is Art?; What is Art For

Hi All,

Tomorrow is the last day I will see you until after the Easter Break (14 April).

So, we only have 3 days left, including tomorrow, to get the majority of your written and oral work completed for communications.

I will go over what I hope to cover over the next 3 days tomorrow.

Glossary: The Vocabulary of Art

Hi All,

Great meeting you all last tuesday and getting to know your work and interests. As mentioned to some of you last week, to complete the course you need to practise what are referred to as 'communications tasks'. These include: Oral Presentation, Critical Reflection/Evaluation, Critique/ Review. The deadline is May 15, but I am hoping to cover some of these tasks during my time with you. So, first up, I thought it would be beneficial to start with the fundamentals: art words and their meanings. Here is an amended version of the glossary I handed up to you this week. I will have printouts for you next Tuesday. Don't worry, those of you who aren't used to blogging online I will be going over how you use the project blog next day.

Hi All.

I thought it would be good to create an online format for the class as a whole, to post assignments, notes and documentation that comes out of the developing project. You may or may not have your individual blogs or websites, but this blog is a more like a social networking site for the duration of the project, where you will be asked to post one or two assignments but also group and individual research etc.

If you want to add another page(s) we will discuss this as a group.
Please make the most of it.
